To improve public safety, NPDC is considering applying a Prohibited and Restricted Times Bylaw (Boy Racer Bylaw) to two sections of Centennial Drive, New Plymouth.

The bylaw would ban light vehicles (those weighing less than 3.5 tonnes) from 10pm to 5am seven days a week, from these areas of Centennial Drive:

First section: between the top car park and the intersection with Rangitake Drive.
Second section: between the middle car park and the intersection with Te Ngahoro Road.
