IP address

An IP address is a number that's automatically assigned to your computer whenever you're surfing the world wide web. Web servers automatically identify your computer by its IP address. We collect IP addresses for the purposes of system administration, to report aggregate information to our internal customers and to audit the use of our site. When visitors request pages from the Council, our servers log the visitors' IP addresses. We do not normally link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable, which means that a user's session will be logged, but the user remains anonymous to us.

NPDC Recycling & Rubbish Mobile Application

The NPDC Recycling & Rubbish Mobile Application collects personal information from you, including information about your address.

We collect your address in order to display Recycling and Glass/Landfill bin collection information to residents of the New Plymouth District using the NPDC Recycling & Rubbish Mobile Application.

Providing some information is optional. If you choose not to enter an address, we'll be unable to provide Recycling and Glass/Landfill bin collection information to residents of the New Plymouth District wanting to use the NPDC Recycling & Rubbish Mobile Application.
