Pukekura Park

Often described as the jewel in New Plymouth's crown, Pukekura Park covers 52ha (128 acres) right in the heart of the city and is one of New Zealand's premier botanical gardens.

Temporary closure of Pukekura Park car park

We're repairing an area of asphalt in the main car park in front of Bellringer Pavilion, which requires the car park to be closed on Wednesday and Thursday this week (15 and 16 July. Pedestrian access will still be available.

During the closure, please use car parks off Rogan Street and Victoria Road, and at TSB Stadium.

We apologise for the inconvenience.

The park includes the Fernery and Display Houses as well as the adjacent garden estate area of Brooklands, home to the acclaimed Bowl of Brooklands and Brooklands Zoo.

The park has an international Green Flag award and is a Garden of National Significance.
