NPDC online resource consents strengthen digital connection with residents

If you’re thinking of subdividing your property, you can now apply for the resource consent from the comfort of your living room.

Our resource consent applications are now online, meaning you can track their progress through the application process.

NPDC Manager Customer and Communications Ben Kohlis says online applications and tracking help residents through the process without having to wait in line at our service centres or on the phone.

“It’s all about creating efficiency and giving our customers flexibility around their increasingly busy lives,” said Mr Kohlis.

“People can still talk to our front counter team or planners, but online applications and tracking allow them to find where they’re at from the comfort of their living room in their own time.”

Online resource consent applications are the digital move by NPDC to make life easier for residents, following:

  • Live Chat so you can quickly ask us anything through our website.
  • Self-service kiosks so you can skip the queues when paying at our service centres.
  • Pay-by-number-plate street parking in the city centre, so you can drive around without having to pay at every parking space.
  • Antenno, our app for customised information at your fingertips.
