Mangorei Road shared pathway extension

We have built a shared path between Tupuhi Place and Branch Road. This path is an extension of the shared path between Mangorei Primary School and Tupuhi Place.

The shared pathway has improved safety for Mangorei School whānau and Highland Park residents.

Benefits of a shared pathway

  • Supports safer active and independent travel for students at Mangorei School.
  • Connects Mangorei School with the Highlands Park residential area.
  • More people walking and cycling reduces car trips and transport emissions.
  • Provides a safer off-road route for less confident people riding bikes.
  • Walking builds friendly neighbourhoods and is good for your health.
  • Safer crossing on Mangorei Road.

Construction

This project was completed in June 2024.

This project was 100% funded by Waka Kotahi.

Thank you for taking the time to find out about these proposed safety upgrades. We welcome any feedback that you may have, please send your comments to us at traffic@npdc.govt.nz.
