Bins that weren’t collected on Friday will be emptied on Saturday – please bring your bins in overnight.
Ōkato: your food scraps and recycling collection will be on Monday.

Project overview

We have replaced nearly all of Urenui’s water pipes over 18 months. This was an important project to resolve Urenui’s long-standing issue of water pipes bursting and is part of NPDC’s $248m commitment to fix the plumbing in our district.

This project rolled out in three stages:

Area one: Completed. (Replaced 665m of old pipes on the western edge of Urenui between Whakapaki Street, Dowman Street, and Te Rangi Hiroa Place.)

Area two: Completed. Area two stretches from State Highway 3 to Ritimona Street, and includes parts of Ngapapa Street and Ngakoti Street.

Area three: Completed. Area three takes in a circular block around Ngakoti Street, Totara Street, and Ngapapa Street on the east side of State Highway 3.
