The Procurement Strategy adopts a modern, outcomes-focused approach that strengthens best practices, ensures value for money and transparency, and embeds social procurement to deliver sustainable, inclusive, and culturally aligned outcomes for the New Plymouth District.

Procurement Strategy

NPDC Transport Procurement Strategy 2025 – 2028

Status: Approved by New Zealand Transport Agency (NTZA) on 22 April 2026.

This strategy outlines how NPDC will procure transport infrastructure, professional services, and maintenance activities funded through the NZTA programme. It provides a long-term approach that balances affordability, resilience, sustainability, local prosperity, and community benefits while meeting NZTA procurement standards.
