Public artworks and art trails

From Ngā Toi Māori to street art, and carved local stone to feats of engineering, New Plymouth District’s public spaces are brought to life through creative expression.

With artworks located throughout our city and towns, in our parks, and along our coastline, there’s so much to explore.

Pick a trail and discover the unique stories, places and people of our district.

Most of the artworks are physically accessible, and any access barriers are noted in the trails. Check the New Plymouth District accessibility guide for information on accessible parking and facilities.
