Swimming alert at Fitzroy Beach

Please don’t swim or gather food at Fitzroy Beach.

Testing of the water at the beach by Taranaki Regional Council on 9 December returned elevated levels of the potentially-harmful bacteria.

We’re sorry this will inconvenience people hoping to spend the weekend at Fitzroy Beach.

If you’re looking for a loving companion who will shower you with affection and loyalty, Spirit is ready to make your home her happy place!
  • We are unsure how Spirit is the cats or stock.

How to adopt

Adoption costs:

  • Dogs under eight years old: $311
  • Dogs over eight years old: $152

This fee includes desexing, registration and microchipping.

To enquire please ring New Plymouth District Council on 06-759 6060 and ask for Animal Control. An adoption form will need to be completed to assess eligibility and suitability of new owners.
