A blockage in the sewer network has caused an overflow into a tributary of the Waiongana Stream, near Konini Street in Inglewood.

We apologise to anyone who has been affected and have been in touch with iwi and hapu, the regulators at TDHB and TRC, and other recreational users.

We’ve put up warning signs advising people not to swim or gather kai in affected areas.

Please don’t swim in affected areas until Thursday morning, and don’t gather food for 28 days.
