This work has improved the safety of all road users on the section of Mangorei Road between Northgate and Rimu Street.

This project included building:

A raised pedestrian/cycle crossing that is managed by traffic lights (similar to the one installed on Rimu Street, Inglewood).
A widened footpath between the raised crossing and the Northgate intersection to make it into shared pedestrian/cycle areas.
