This page provides high level overview information about our current resource consent applications received through our online system and the decisions that have been issued.
If you would like to find an update on your resource consent application or a decision, you can use the table of consents received below to search for it by the consent ID. If you do not know the consent ID, you can search by the location, legal description, consent type and description.
This is to provide greater transparency and help you find information on the resource consents in the district.
Below is the standard non-notified consenting process.
Application submitted |
We have received your application and are waiting to review and process your invoice. |
Awaiting payment |
We have sent the invoice out for payment; we will not assign a planner to your application until this invoice has been paid |
Awaiting allocation to planner |
We have received your payment, and we are waiting to allocate to one of our planners. |
Planner reviewing application |
A planner is now reviewing your application for completeness. |
Awaiting further information response |
Your application has been deemed complete enough to begin processing but we require further information, this has been sent to the agent or applicant for a response. |
Reviewing further information response |
We have received your further information response and are reviewing it to see if it has answered all our questions. |
Planner writing report & decision |
We have sufficient information to make a decision on your application. |
Report & decision being peer reviewed |
Our planner has sent their report to a senior member of the team to be peer reviewed. |
Notified process begun |
Your application has been either Publicly or Limited notified, we are waiting to hear back from those who have been deemed affected by our planning team and/or the public. |
Consent decision issued |
We have issued our decision to the agent/applicant and the process has finished. |
Application withdrawn |
We have been contacted by the applicant or agent to stop processing and withdraw the application. |
Application processed manually – No data available |
Your application is being processed outside of our system, you will have to contact your agent or our planner for an update to the stage of your consent. |
Application returned under s88 |
The application did not meet the standards for a complete application and has been returned. |
Objection process begun |
The agent or applicant has objected to a council decision and the objection process has been started. |
Application on hold |
The applicant or agent has contacted council and wishes the processing of application to stop. |
The report relies on the information given in the application form which may not be totally accurate, if you believe that the information is incorrect please contact resourceconsentsadmin@npdc.govt.nz and we will try to rectify this information.
In our current application tracking system, updates to the status of an application are updated once a day, overnight so changes in consent status will appear the following day.
Note: The data currently only includes consents submitted online from 6th June. If you are wanting an update on an application submitted before this date, please contact resourceconsentsadmin@npdc.govt.nz.
