Come and help us clean the beautiful Ngāmotu Beach and part of the coastal walkway during Conservation Week 2025! This event is family and young kids-friendly! Your pēpi and tamariki are welcome! ALL WELCOME! You do NOT need to be “fit” or stay for the full 2 hours. Any help is MUCH APPRECIATED! 10am (or later) - Meet us opposite at Ngāmotu Beach (bottom of Bayly Rd) for a kōrero - briefing. Look for the Sustainable Taranaki flag! BYO gloves and buckets if possible, but we'll provide some if needed! 12pm (or earlier) - Meeting back to drop off all the trash collected (we will separate all items to divert as much as we can from the landfill) No RSVP required! Just show up! The aim of this event is to: - clean this location the best we can - divert rubbish from the landfill - engage and educate our community about waste and recycling - create a fun and meaningful event for families to connect with the environment and take action towards bettering sustainability/conservation This event is part of Taranaki TimeBank, and you can use your hours later to exchange skills, time and knowledge.
