All councils are required to prepare an Infrastructure Strategy as part of their three yearly long-term planning process. The Infrastructure Strategy covers a period of 30 years and identifies:

The key infrastructuree issues facing the Council;
The principal options for managing those issues; and
The implications of the various options.
