Easter holiday period opening hours

Taranaki Car Club has requested the closure of the following roads to conduct the SBT Group Taranaki Tarmac Rally. Date of closure: Saturday 27 June. Roads to be closed: · From 6.45am to 10am: Plymouth Road from SH45 to Carrington Road, then to Frankley Road, to Barrett Road, and to Pheney Road up to the Hurford Road intersection. Kirihau Road will also be closed. · From 7.30am to 10.45am: Dover Road from SH45 to Carrington Road, then to Upper Pitone Road up to the SH45 intersection. · From 8.30am to 11.45am: Carthew Street from SH45 to Curtis Street up to the Oxford Road intersection. · From 9am to 12.15pm: Oxford Road from Saunders Road to Carrington Road, then to Frankley Road up to the Hurworth Road intersection. · From 10am to 1.15pm: Kent Road from 300m from the SH3 intersection to Maude Road, then to Thomson Road, to Hill Road, and to Alfred Road up to the Peters Road intersection. Roads to be closed include Herbert, Korito and Mangawara roads. · From 11am to 2.15pm: Tarata Road from Kaimata Road to Otaraoa Road Upper, to 500m before the McKee Production Station. Toetoe Road will also be closed. · From 12.15pm to 4pm: Okoki Road from SH3 to end of tarmac on Kaka Road, including Okoki Road Extension and Kohangamoa Road. · From 1pm to 4.15pm Kaka Road from end of tarmac to Uruti Road up to the SH3 intersection. Roads closed include Putts and Ri roads, and the intersection with Moki Road. · From 2pm to 5.15pm: Clarke Road from Everett Road to Lincoln Road, then to Richmond Road up to the Wortley Road intersection. Roads to be closed to include Barry, Ackworth, Cross and Elsham roads. The application is being considered under the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965. Submissions to the closures should reach New Plymouth District Council by 4pm on 15 April. Submissions must be made on the road closure form, which is available online at npdc.govt.nz/HaveYourSay, or by contacting the Council on 06-759 6060 or enquiries@npdc.govt.nz. Emergency vehicles will have unrestricted access at all times. |

During the proposed period of closure, an approved traffic management plan will provide for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the roads.
