REQUEST FOR TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE: INGLEWOOD AMERICARNA

Inglewood First Trust has requested the closure of the following roads to conduct Inglewood Americarna. 

Date and period of closure: from 1pm to 9.30pm on Thursday 26 February 2026.

Roads to be closed:

·       Matai Street from Rata Street (SH3) to Brookes Street.

·       Rata Street (SH3) and (SH3a) from Rimu Street to Brown Street (SH3a).

·       Kelly Street from Brown Street to Matai Street.

·       Richmond Street from Rata Street to Carrington Street.

·       Cutfield Street from Brookes Street to Carrington Street.   

The application is being considered under the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1965. Submissions to the closure should reach New Plymouth District Council by 4pm on 31 October 2025.

Submissions must be made on the road closure form, which is available online at npdc.govt.nz/HaveYourSay, or by contacting the Council on 06-759 6060 or enquiries@npdc.govt.nz.

Emergency vehicles will have unrestricted access at all times.

During the proposed period of closure, an approved traffic management plan will provide for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the roads.
