Our district offers top notch events from sports, concerts, expos and so much more, these great events also create waste.
We’re aiming to keep tonnes of single-use items from events out of landfill. With event organisers and the help of our Eco Squad, we’ve proven it’s possible – some events have reduced, reused, and diverted over 90% of their waste.
Becoming an Eco Squad volunteer, you’ll help ensure bin stations run efficiently, guide event goers with friendly advice on proper waste sorting and pitch in to keep the area clean and tidy.
You’ll be well looked after by our team and training will be provided.
