Appointed by the Board of Wai Hononga Water Services Limited, Brent Manning is leading the organisation through its establishment phase and operational commencement on 1 July 2027.

Brent Manning brings extensive experience in municipal water infrastructure, local government leadership, and public sector governance to the Taranaki region.
Appointed by the Board to lead Wai Hononga, Brent oversees the strategic management and delivery of critical water and wastewater networks. His career spans key regional and international roles, including serving as a Council Interface Manager for New Zealand’s water services reform programmes and as the establishment Chief Executive of To Tatou Vai in the Cook Islands.
Locally, Brent spent nearly two decades in both water and wastes engineering for New Plymouth District Council and as Engineering Services Group Manager for the South Taranaki District Council.
