The Board has two sub-committees, including Audit, Finance & Risk and People, Safety & Culture. It is also guided by a Statement of Expectations, which sets out the Council’s expectations for Wai Hononga priorities, performance measures, and commitments to the community.
The leadership team of Wai Hononga is currently being established ahead of operations commencing on 1 July 2027. The Chief Executive is responsible for the day-to-day management of the organisation and leading its transition to full operations.
