You may be seeing the name Wai Hononga forthe first time.
Wai Hononga is the new water servicesorganisation being established to deliverdrinking water and wastewater services forcommunities across Taranaki from 1 July2027.
While the organisation is new, the purpose isfamiliar. Safe, reliable water services areessential to everyday life, supporting ourhomes, businesses, schools, communityfacilities and the environment around us.
As Taranaki continues to grow and theexpectations on water infrastructure increase,a dedicated organisation will provide astronger focus on planning, investment andservice delivery for the future.
Over the coming months, we'll be sharingmore about who we are, what we're preparingfor, and how the establishment of WaiHononga supports the long-term future ofwater services in our region. This is thebeginning of that journey.Nau mai.
