The parking equipment within the NPDC network is at the end of its operational life and the equipment needs to be replaced.

We are leasing the new parking machines from our supplier and we are making significant savings.

Yes. There will be slight changes when using the PayMyPark app from 17 February, follow the prompts on the app to pay for your parking session.

The meters are touch screen and users will need to key-in their vehicle's number plate. If you do not want to pay at the machine, you can use the PayMyPark app.

We have reduced the fee for card payments at the parking machines to 10 cents per transaction. The supplier has added their own fee for PayMyPark app and Touch N Go - PayStay Guest. See here for more information.

The Touch N Go digital meter uses NFC (near field communication). NFC is the technology that enables contactless tap and go payments. Simply tap the Touch N Go digital meter with an NFC enabled device and follow the prompts on screen for PayStay Guest. Alternatively, you can scan the QR code and follow the prompts on your mobile phone screen.

Here's how you can check if NFC is working on your device:

For Android:

1. Open Settings.
2. Tap 'Connected devices' or 'Connections'.
3. Toggle the NFC button ON next to 'NFC' or 'NFC and contactless payments'.
   
   

For iPhone (iPhone XS and later):

NFC is automatically enabled. To scan an NFC tag, simply hold your iPhone near the tag.

If you have an older iPhone (iPhone 7–iPhone X):

1. Open Control Centre (swipe down from the top-right corner).
2. Tap the NFC Tag Reader icon (if available).
3. Hold your iPhone near the NFC tag to scan.
   
   

If you don’t see the NFC icon:

1. Go to Settings > Control Centre.
2. Add NFC Tag Reader.
   
   

For older iPhones (iPhone 7 - iPhone X), you may need to download an NFC-compatible app from the App Store.

Once NFC is enabled, simply hold your smartphone near the Touch N Go box and follow the prompts or scan the QR code.

All information displayed on the Touch N Go - PayStay Guest website is protected by digital certificate which can be verified by viewing the certificate details in your browser. No. Simply scan the QR code on the selected parking meters or tap a Touch N Go digital meter with your mobile device.

You can pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa, and Mastercard with Touch N Go - PayStay Guest.

Yes. SuperGold card users can park for free between 8am and 11am Monday to Saturdays in council paid parking spaces. Remember to display your SuperGold card or display your NPDC parking card. Contact us for an alternative parking card.

Yes, the contactless reader works with contactless payments on smartphones, such as Apple Pay and Goggle Pay. You can also use Apple Pay or Google Pay with the PayMyPark app if these are saved on your phone.

No there will be no changes to mobility parks. Mobility card holders will still need to pay at a meter. Mobility card holders will still receive double the time paid for in all time restricted parking.
