My leadership is about helping people, caring for the environment, and building a healthy community.
My connection with Inglewood goes back five generations to my great, great Grandfather Alois Klenner. Since 2000 Inglewood has been the base of my Television Presenter/Producer work highlighting this district on both regional and national TV. I have been a teacher, tutor and parent at Inglewood High School; and environmental educator.
I bring proven experience to the Inglewood Community Board through previous service on the South Taranaki District Council and the Egmont Plains Community Board.
I do not have any political affiliations therefore I can focus on what is right for our community into the future. I looking forward to working for all parts of our community - town and country, young and old.
I would appreciate your vote and the opportunity to work with you. Kia ora tatou.
No
What?
To me the use of rates needs to reflect the needs/wellbeing of the diversity within our community. It maybe that services need to use different approaches to go with those needs.
Yes
What?
We need to see the money in the long term investment plan used as a base for finance in to our economy. NPDC should be using local product/firms where available. This should include at NPDC sport/cultural venues, the airport, contract work etc.
No
Why?
While the issues around rough sleepers are diverse are diverse and complex NPDC should be doing more than highlighting or moving the problem. At the moment it feels unsafe to walk parts of Devon Street at night this is unfair to businesses/patrons
Yes
Why?
First this organisation should be owned as well as controlled by NPDC. Ownership will give better service to ratepayers including better response when needed. Also will help prevent water being diverted to other entities outside of local needs
Yes
Why?
As a leader it needs to demonstrate a commitment to adjusting to climate change. It owns some of the largest roof areas for both solar and water collection. Also can be instrumental in developing domestic solutions to deal with climate change.
No
Why?
To me the NPDC's first commitment should be to the health and well being of all within the district. This money would be better spent on community facilities across the rohe accessible to all young and old. The current model is for a few elites.
Yes
Why?
For the safety of both cyclists and motorists they are important. However, better thinking needs to applied to routing cycleways; possibly away from roads and parking which could enhance the appeal of cycling.

Why?
Through my teaching experience the addition of Maori initiatives gives benefits for all. The Maori Ward enhances and builds partnership along with the kaitiaki of our place.
Before looking at major events NPDC should be looking at how they can be more accessible to all within the district and how they can support local products. Maybe use reserves to part pay for the events or create a visitor levy to pay for them.
To enhance peoples' wellbeing, creativity and sense of being. To care for our land and environment
