Dedicated to fostering a return to a focus on core services, I am seeking election to our local council. Born and raised in New Plymouth, having moved away earlier in life to persue a career in IT, I return home to find this city about to repeat the mistakes of the city I left. I cannot sit by and watch obvious mistakes being made here. With over 25 years' experience in the IT industry, I bring a strong background in sound logic, efficient systems and strategic planning. I advocate for significant reduction in council expenditure and a return to a focus on core infrastructure - done right, done well, and done at minimum cost to the rate payer.

No
What?
Stimulation of the economy is an issue for Central Government. At a time where our council are struggling to get the basics right, a return to focus on core council services, and doing them right should be the councils only focus.
No
Why?
Despite the fact I believe this is a Police and Central Government issue as they control the law around these actions and how a council can respond, our council needs to be pushing these organisations more for quicker and more effective action.

This is the job of the councils PR team. I hope to sit down one day and discuss with them ideas that my constituents bring forward to me, but otherwise, Not my job.
