Raised by cow-cockies, educated by greenies, I'm a force for good and mother of a now taller-than-me kick-boxing teenager.
An independent thinker, I don't sit on the left or the right. I bring an open-minded, tolerant and balanced approach to Council. I make decisions built on common sense, astute analysis, and holistic thinking.
I build relationships based on respect and collaboration with a focus on achieving the best outcomes for our people, our economy, and our environment.
Those who know me say I'm honest, grounded, authentic, wise, and a well-rounded person who listens and genuinely cares about our community.
Like many I'm concerned about the cost of living and the impact of Council decisions on small businesses and fixed incomes.
After serving two terms on the Kaitake Community Board I have sound knowledge of council process. I will hit the ground running, while bringing fresh blood to the council chambers.

Why?
NPDC committed $800k towards facility, $12M for affordable housing and $120k for social worker. Need central govt investment in affordable housing, mental health/addiction services. Long-term adopt ‘Housing First’ model, proven to end homelessness.
No
Why?
CCO comes with increased financial risk, governance complexity, and potential erosion of local accountability. Many ratepayers (61% of local submissions) strongly favour retaining an in-house model for control, transparency, and affordability.
Yes
Why?
I’m an advocate for initiatives that promote community resilience, and especially food security, including community gardens, crop swaps, farmer’s markets, neighbourhood surplus produce stands, regenerative farming and diversification of land use.

Why?
During 2024–34 LTP consultation 64% supported TACH, only 18% backed an increase of investment from $35M to $50M. I back the TACH for its health, sport, and community benefits, but want to ensure NPDC keeps the impact on ratepayers as low as possible.
No
Why?
I support making the roads safer for cyclists but I have concerns about the negative impact of separated cycleways on local businesses and traffic flow. Current use by cyclists appears low, raising questions about the value of further investment.

Why?
I support retaining Māori wards to ensure fair representation, uphold Treaty obligations, include Māori voices in local decision-making, and strengthen council decisions with diverse perspectives that benefit the whole community.
Ensure venues meet national/international standards. Ensure flexible multi-purpose spaces for conferences, festivals and sports. Improve transport links and accommodation capacity. Highlight coastal location, arts, culture and outdoor experiences.
1. Strike a balance between fostering growth and easing the financial burden on residents. 2. End water fluoridation, in the meantime ensure NPDC provides free, publicly accessible fluoride-free water, as nine other councils in NZ currently do.
