I'm honored to have been your councillor for the last 12 years and have constantly supported the ratepayers' view.
I've never been afraid to challenge the issues that other councillors have shy away from.
With a Mayor change, we now have the opportunity to get the leadership right.
I plan to team up as a Deputy Mayor to Max Brough to achieve a new way of thinking which is desperately needed. Both of us combined have a self-employed business experience of over 70 years. This means we will achieve more action with less talk.
Our priority is to lower increasing rates by putting needs before niceties.
With your wise vote this election, we can steer the ship in a new direction.

The best way to stimulate the economy is to attract more people to live here. If we can get to the stage of earning a reputation of having the lowest rate rises in the country, then that will go a long way to attracting people to move here.

We lose total control of our assets once we mover then to a CCO, so I am dead against it CCO's. CCO's are just a loophole to obtain more debt that you will all have to pay.

No matter what our council does, it wont have any effect on world climate change ... that the reality of the situation and we shouldn't be wasting ratepayer money on it.

This new total amount was not discussed with the public and nor was the massively down graded design. They have not been fully open or honest with you on this one.

We should be linking our cycleways that are all over the city, but we should NOT be trying to retrofit cycleways on our main state highway corridors, these road corridors should be for Cars and trucks first and foremost.

Time to let the community decide.
We should not be competing with every other city on the usual events. We need to think differently in this space and create our own unique events that no one else has to offer.
1, To look at project going forward that don't generate huge OPEX costs that burdens the ratepayer for years to come. 2, To see if we can achieve the lowest rate rise in the country, then we would earn a reputation of a town like no other.
