It has been a privilege to serve our community as a Councillor for the last six years and I would be honoured to continue this work.
In turbulent times, we need strong leaders with the courage to make difficult calls, the clarity to navigate complexity, and the compassion to bring people with them.
We need experience to meet the moment. As a former lawyer and scientist, and Chair of Council's Finance Audit and Risk Committee, I bring experience, integrity, and steadfast values. I am also a mum of two young boys with a heart for the community, and every decision I make is anchored by what's best for the next generation.
To ensure our District continues to thrive, we need to ensure we invest wisely in infrastructure, make meaningful progress on housing, build a resilient future-ready economy, and protect and restore our environment for future generations. More information at www.voteacg.nz
No
What?
We have consistently heard from the community that they don’t want services to reduce. However, we could make significant improvements to our procurement, contracting and delivery processes which would result in cost savings.
Yes
What?
Working more with local companies to deliver infrastructure and services, increase support to businesses and Venture Taranaki to innovate and create new industries, advocate to Government for Taranaki to be at the centre of NZ’s energy transition.
No
Why?
NPDC has funded establishment of support services and a night shelter, and worked with Police to address anti-social behaviour. However, Council needs to keep bringing parties together to ensure a coherent, collaborative, long-term approach is taken.
No
Why?
The real solution to long term challenges of funding infrastructure is reform of local government funding. The next best option would’ve been a regional CCO. Given neither of those are within our control, I voted for a NPDC CCO but remain sceptical.
Yes
Why?
We have started addressing this issue, but there is much more work to do. There are opportunities to further reduce emissions, and a lot of work remaining to ensure that all parts of our district will be resilient to changing weather patterns.
No
Why?
I’m not convinced that centralising sport facilities is required, or that we’ll be able to get the best long-term result while the racing club still occupy the land. I also believe that sports codes should be contributing more funding.
No
Why?
Not right now. We need to provide safe infrastructure for people, however they choose to travel. But for now, we need to wait for the current protected cycleways to bed in, then reassess.

Why?
Diverse voices on Council results in better and more representative decisions, and a Māori Ward is the only way to guarantee a Māori voice at the decision-making table. It has been working well, enhancing partnership and results for our district.
NPDC very recently established an Events Reserve which takes some profit from events and ringfences it for the specific purpose of attracting major events. I think this is a good step to take, allowing agility in attracting these types of events.
1) Ensure our community, infrastructure and economy are ready for the impacts of climate change and energy transition 2) Improve housing provision in our district
