Six lot subdivision: Leith Road, Okato (SUB21/47781)

NPDC has received an application from Bruce, Margaret and Robert Sim to subdivide a rural property into six allotments.

The property has two records of title that were issued in 1998 and the lots would be 2.924ha, 5,555m², 5,500m², 4,271m², 1.01ha and the balance lot, and 41.43ha in area respectively. The proposal is a discretionary activity under the Operative New Plymouth District Plan and a discretionary activity under the Proposed New Plymouth District Plan (SUB21/47781).

The proposal is located at 6 Leith Road, Okato, legally described as Part Lot 1 DP 8787, and 42 Leith Road, Okato, legally described as Lot 1 DP 19869.

The application includes an assessment of environmental effects. It may be inspected during normal office hours at the Civic Centre, Liardet Street, New Plymouth or viewed online below.

Any person may make a submission on the application, but whoever is a trade competitor of the applicant, may only do so only if that person is directly affected by an effect of the activity to which the application relates that

  1. adversely affects the environment; and
  2. does not relate to trade competition or the effects of trade competition.

You may make a submission by sending a written submission to New Plymouth District Council at Private Bag 2025, New Plymouth 4340; or emailing applications@npdc.govt.nz. The submission must be on Form 13.

A signature is not required if you submit by electronic means. Copies of this form are available from Council offices and online here.

You must serve copy of your submission on the applicant, whose address for service is: Bruce, Margaret and Robert Sim, C/- Juffermans Surveyors Ltd, PO Box 340, Stratford 4332 – Attention Connor Marner; or email Connor Marner at connor@jsl.nz as soon as reasonably practicable after serving your submission on NPDC.
